The rules of working with Clo

Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Clo for using clo.run, app.clo.run and your Clo AI team. Please read it carefully: by using Clo, you agree to these terms.

The short version

  • You must be 18 or older and keep your account details safe.
  • You own the content you give Clo and the work your agents create for you.
  • AI can make mistakes, so review content before you publish it.
  • Use Clo lawfully: no spam, scams, harassment or misuse of other people's data.
  • Connected platforms like Facebook and Instagram have their own rules, which also apply.
  • You can stop using Clo and delete your account at any time.

Agreeing to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Clo (“Clo”, “we”, “us”) about your use of our website at clo.run, our app at app.clo.run and the Clo AI team (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you use Clo on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms for that company, and “you” includes the company.

What Clo does

Clo gives you a team of AI agents, managed by Clo, your AI office manager. You can tell Clo what you need by typing or speaking, and Clo hands the work to the right agent. Agents can research trends, plan and design content, help with sales, leads, SEO, social media and other tasks, and with your permission act on accounts you connect.

We are constantly improving Clo. Features may be added, changed or removed over time.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Clo.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
  • Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed your account.

Your content

  • You own it. You keep all rights to the information, instructions, ideas and materials you give Clo (“Your Content”), and to the work your agents create for you (“Output”), to the extent the law allows.
  • Permission to run the Service. You give Clo a limited permission to store, process and use Your Content and Output only to provide and improve the Service for you, and to publish content to connected accounts when you ask us to.
  • Your responsibility. You confirm you have the rights to the content you share with us, and you are responsible for what you ask your agents to create and publish.

AI-generated work

  • Your agents use artificial intelligence. AI can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and can sometimes produce content that looks like existing material.
  • Always review Output before you rely on it or publish it, especially facts, figures, prices, legal or medical statements, and anything about other people or brands.
  • Output is not professional advice, such as legal, financial or medical advice.
  • Because AI creates Output based on your instructions, similar Output may be created for other users. We do not guarantee that Output is unique.

Connected accounts and other platforms

  • You can connect accounts from platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. When you do, you allow Clo to access and act on those accounts as needed for the features you use, such as publishing posts you request or approve.
  • Those platforms have their own terms and policies, including Meta's Terms of Service and Community Standards, and you must follow them.
  • We are not responsible for third-party platforms, their availability, or changes they make that affect what Clo can do.
  • You can disconnect an account at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Clo to:

  • Break any law, or help anyone else do so.
  • Send spam or unwanted bulk messages. Outreach and email campaigns must follow anti-spam and privacy laws, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR and UAE law: use contact details you are allowed to use, identify yourself, and give people an easy way to opt out.
  • Create or share content that is misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy.
  • Impersonate people or organisations, or misrepresent your connection with them.
  • Collect or misuse other people's personal data without a lawful basis.
  • Attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the Service, or get around its security or usage limits.
  • Resell or provide the Service to others without our written permission.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these rules.

Plans and payments

Some features may require a paid plan. Before you pay, we will clearly show you the price, what is included and how billing works. Unless stated otherwise, fees are charged in advance and are not refundable except where the law requires. You can cancel a paid plan at any time, and it will stay active until the end of the period you paid for.

Clo's property

The Service, including its software, AI agents, designs, the Clo name, logo and crab mascot, belongs to Clo and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't give you any rights to them except to use the Service as allowed here. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely to improve Clo.

Ending your use of Clo

  • You can stop using Clo and delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. Our Privacy Policy explains how your data is deleted.
  • We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other users or the Service. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
  • Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability, keep applying after your account ends.

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Clo reliable and useful, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always secure, or that Output will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose. Results from marketing, sales or outreach are never guaranteed.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, Clo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Clo in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against Clo because of content you created or published with the Service, your use of connected accounts, or your breach of these Terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, including legal fees.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Dubai, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to solve the problem together.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is important, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Clo after the change, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
